Breaking up bad habit

Breaking up Bad Habit

What is a habit?

Habit is an action performed repeatedly and automatically, usually without awareness.

We all have habits different types , many of them are unique. Habits that are harmless are not necessarily the ones we must be concerned with, but the harmful habits need to be broken and replaced with good ones.
God offers each of us a great life we must renew our minds and learn to think on purpose if we want to experience all He has planned for us.

Bad habits are not broken simply because we want to break some bad habit such as Swearing, Picking Your Nose, Biting Fingernails etc.; we must break them on purpose and that will require diligence and determination. Referring to the bible, David said that the man who wants to prosper and succeed needs to habitually ponder and meditate on God’s word day and night psalm 1:2-3. With enough discipline and consistency, we can break bad habits and new ones can be formed.

When you breaking apart with your old habit, look for a better habit that is good that can get your mind off that old bad habit and defiantly you can get tempted to want to go back to the old habit you might even miss it but this is the time to set your mind and keep it set in your new decision and because you don’t want to remain in bondage to the old and miss the good new things god has for you.
In the new Testament, Paul writes that we must habitually put to death the devil deeds prompted by the body if we want to truly and genuinely live Roman 8;13. He is simply saying that we must learn to recognize what is not Gods will and therefore not good for us and we must habitually say no.

Don’t be discouraged if at first you feel you are making little or no progress in forming new habits, but remember that habits takes time. Doing the right thing once or even a few times does not equal success, but habitually doing right will produce a life worth living. It may not be easy, but it will be worth the effort.

Worrying

Release the Weight of Worry . It is one thing to know that we should not worry and its another thing to stop worrying. one of the things that helped me let go of worry was that i finally realised how utterly useless it was getting worried over what won't change because i worried about it. The bible is full of sound proven advice about not worrying and dealing with worry. for example in Philippians 4;6 says be anxious for nothing, but in all circumstances to let our prayer requests be known to God with thanksgiving. Even down to verse 7, he then encourages us by saying that the peace of God will fill our hearts and minds. Thinking about it, how many problems have you solved by worrying? how much time have you spent worrying about things that never even happened? has anything ever gotten better as a result of your worrying about it? lets be sincere, NO .  The moment you begin to worry or feel anxious, give your concern to God_because it is normal to feel th
What Is Peace ? "Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family. It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, the triumph of truth"                     Menachem Begin Defining peace…Now that I think of it, its actually not easy to put it into words. you'll agree totally  that– an absence of violence is definitely not a definition of peace. Although it is a pretty good indication of the PRESENCE of peace. From my own search for peace, I have found that peace is not so much a condition, but rather a state of being. Like truth, freedom, love and happiness – not so easy to describe or define although it can certainly be experienced.  Peace already exists - within us. Its always there-in everyone, no matter who you are, where you live or what you believe. We only need to be aware of it. A peaceful mind thinks thoughts of peace, and spe

How your thinking can affect you.

POSITIVE THINKING RELEASES THE POWER OF POTENTIAL . People who think positively can see potential in even the most discouraging situations, while those who do not think positively are quick to point out the situations' problems and limitations. One of the best stories that showed positive thinking releases the power of potential took place centuries ago. God promised the people of Israel they would posses a rich land and fertile country known as Canaan. He didn't promise them its going to be easy, but he did promise them they would inhabit it- and when God makes a promise he keeps it. The Israelite did send 12 men to go to Canaan to "spy out the land" and bring back a report. When they returned, 10 spies admitted that the land flowed with milk and honey but said the land was full of giants who would be impossible yo overcome, they allowed the presence of the giants to detract from the promises of God. Joshua and Caleb brought back go
